Patent applications

Molecular design tools are very effective techniques to innovate at the molecular level. Applications range from Protein Engineering and Computer Based Drug Design, to the development of Nanobiotechnology devices. Recently, a collaborative research effort carried out by researchers at the DLab, resulted in the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new inhibitory drugs against Calpain II. These efforts were recently summed up into the Chilean patent application number 744-2010.
